You guys were asking what she keeps in her backpack!
Also, Otakon was amazing. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, said hi, etc etc! I did even better than at AX and it kinda gave me hope +10 for the future!
DON’T FORGET! KB will be updating every Tuesday and Thursday from now on, unless something crazyshit happens. In which case I will notify you from my well-fortified bunker as I fight against the reptilian overlords.

Hmm… Let me guess. The Raccoon has a decoy version of Blitz and a smoke bomb. Ask why? Since I know Steffi wouldn’t appearing to places quickly without her mech and also how can she go down stairs so fast.
Technology seems too advanced, not mention how can decoys twice as large as Chandra can fit inside a backpack, don’t you think? :l
And look! Another guard stereotype.
I think he chose the guard profession because he has surprised eyebrows. His guidance counselor was like, “Brad, you look surprised. I know you’re not, but that’s the kind of face you have. Your only option is security guard. Congratulations and pick up your empty belt and tiny maglite at the door. No, you don’t get a gun, baton, pepper spray, or full size maglite. You might actually use those on a criminal.”
Inflatable decoys! Or mostly just clothes plus some kind of frame to give ‘em shape. Not implausible that they’d fit in the backpack.
Also, YAY MORE UPDATES!
… The reptilian overlords aren’t so bad. Certainly the fact that they occasionally eat one of us can be a bit of an issue…
Nothing suspicious about someone in a green hoodie conviniently passing out by the storage center, nope!
That smoke bomb is so… so…
So cute.
And the BGM begins!
Raccoon smoke bombs eh? So I guess we can infer that Raccoon is the female tween villain version of Batman?
hmmm, everyone so far thinks its just a smoke bomb. Until proven wrong next week, i am going to assume its more of a knockout gas. I think raccoon is going for more of a non-violent way to taking care of the guard. Plus, i don’t think that is enough gas to sneak out an mech with. Either way that bomb IS oddly cute.
FACEPLANT. Hahaha… :’D
I really dig your backgrounds…
Raccoon smoke bombs have to be the cutest thing ever.
ADORABLE SMOKE BOMB FOR THE WIN!
And yay for update! And yay for regular updates! It’s like a super win day!
He just looks surprised because that faceplant was the most eventful and dramatic thing he’s seen all day.
@Teowulf
Dat avatar.
Personally, I think that smoke bomb is more creepy than cute.
I know this page is a month old, but I have just now been catching up on my Kiwi Blitz reading, and I wanted to offer my heartiest congratulations on what you, intentionally or not, just managed to pull off in panels 4-6. The arrangement present there; two stacked panels on the left with one panel on the right, is one often avoided by comic book artists due to how it confuses the reader. Do they go down, or to the right? If they go right, then when do they read the lower panel? This takes the reader out of the story and breaks the suspension of disbelief.
However, you managed to make this arrangement flow like I have never seen before. The viewer’s eye is drawn to the green figure in panel 4, framed by the guard’s head. The consistency and direction of the raindrops move the reader down to panel five, where the same figure is falling, reassuring them that they have read in the correct order. The guard’s speech bubble guides us back to panel 6, and the rest of the page proceeds as normal.
One of the most difficult arrangements to use well, and you didn’t just manage to scrap by with it, you pulled it off perfectly. It was so well done that I didn’t even notice the placement of the panels until I reread the page. Absolutely brilliant work.
OH NO MR GUARD GUY!!!
