SYNOPSIS

Kiwi Blitz is a biweekly webcomic, updated every Tuesday and Thursday. It chronicles the adventures of a couple teenagers’ attempts to fight crime in the not-too-distant future. Imagine an American superhero cartoon mixed with a Japanese mecha anime, and you’ve got the basic husk of the comic’s existence.

FAQ:

Q: How do you make KB?
A:It’s all photoshop and a wacom intuos tablet. I ink with the pencil tool and shade on a multiply layer using a combo of the pencil and pen tools.

Q: I want to read the comic, but I don’t want to start from the beginning. Suggestions?
A: In general, I’d say start with the beginning of the most recent track and compare hair colors with the cast page to figure out who people are.
At the moment, I think the beginning of Track 03 is a good place pick up if you wanna skip some of the initial exposition. But if possible, I’d really suggest starting from the beginning! It’s really not that long.

Q: How can I advertise on your ad spots?
A: I use Project Wonderful, which is a pretty common system for webcomics. So if you sign up for it you can advertise on my and a lot of other comic sites.

Q: So what was it like interning for Kurtz?
A: The shit.

Q: Do you do any other comics/art?
A: KB is my only ongoing series right now, but you can always see my other classwork comics and artwork at my deviantArt page.

Q: Do you take commissions?
A: Usually! My prices for drawing your OCs and such can be found at my deviantart journal on the subject. For commercial jobs, email me and we’ll discuss my hourly rate.

THE AUTHOR / ARTIST

Mary Cagle is a senior in college, currently attending the Savannah College of Art and Design in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Sequential Art (aka comics!). She often goes by the nickname Cube Watermelon, or the Japanese variant of Shikaku Suika on sites that don’t allow you to change the stupid nickname you picked when you were extremely weaboo. She interned for Scott Kurtz of PVP in late 2009, and is rarely seen without her newsboy cap.
