Sidebar: Does anyone happen to know a decent free program that can speed video up? I recorded myself drawing one of the pages, but it’s 5 hours of footage that I have to shrink down into 5 minutes or so. I tried using Pinnacle Studio, but it keeps failing due to a “Rendering error” >:|

Good and bad news.
CLIFFNOTES VERSION: For the next few weeks, KB will be taking a break, and the site will be updating M-F with Mango pages.
FULL VERSION:
As those of you who read my blog know, I’m spending the summer creating a 30-page pitch comic for Scholastic. I’m currently on page 12, which isn’t bad, but I really need to increase my speed if I want to be done at a reasonable time. The problem is, of course, that KB pages take me twice as long to make, and the site updates twice a week. This has led to me updating late and cutting artistic corners, while I’m still not producing my other project at a reasonable rate. AKA, they’re both suffering.
I’m also not sure whether this is a direct result of this situation or not, but lately I’ve been feeling really bad about KB. I know it’s silly, but I’m struggling a lot more than I used to with certain pages and panels, and feeling crappy about them when they’re done. Hopefully taking a bit of a break will give me some perspective, as well as some time to script out my pages for once, which is something I generally skip out of laziness. Hopefully this’ll lead to a stronger comic over all.
Therefore, for the next few weeks, I’ll be really cracking down on Mango. I’ll also be posting each page up here. My plan is to update five days a week, monday through friday. This means that the hiatus will last a bit less than 4 weeks, after which KB will resume as normal. I’ll also go back and delete the pages from the archive afterward so future readers don’t get confused.
Sorry to do this to you guys, especially those of you sticking through the summer (when readership always drops off somewhat). But hopefully you’ll enjoy Mango, since it is a silly cute action comedy as I generally do. I’ll update with a blog containing pages 1-12 that you can click through with light box to catch up, and Monday will start with page 13.

Hey, so is anyone still playing / willing to return to Monster Hunter Tri? I’ve been kinda wanting to run a co-op night on Friday or Saturday this week. I’ve been having fun in single player (just got to Volcano recently), but sometimes I crave companionship while slaughtering giant beasts!
