Karl is… someplace else, probably playing violin or killing a bunch of people. XD
But I definitely wasn’t expecting this. Good going, Mary! I love this comic to bits!
(Oh and btw, I saw you at Otakon. I was in a top hat. My brother was dressed as the mad hatter from the new Alice game. Heeeey =3)
Aw man, we don’t get to hear anything about WW3. I wanted to know more about that.
Did America fight the USSR, the Germans again, China, or did Canada finally loose it and release a bunch of genetically cloned dinosaur shock troops like in Antihero for Hire.
To my son, Heinrich, I leave my treasured German flag boxers. Wear them in health my darling little boy.
Oh yes, you have to run Mecha Machen too. <—- You have to make this face lawyer.
I got it. Her grandfather made the super guns that can blast off legs with one shot. Then the people killed him, stole the guns and past them down through their family of robbers until one day while performing a heist one of the kids tried to take them out and they blasted her leg off.
I guess you can start the next chapter now. Just give us every remaining page from this chapter on Thursday and start it next Tuesday.
That’s the flip side of being a “killer” weapons designer. Think Tony Stark at the beginning of the first Iron Man. Think about Oppenheimer’s burden as well.
I really love this comic, and am actually kind of fond of the sudden tone switch. While I liked the light-hearted KB, I feel like the characters fit right at home in a darker sort of universe. Your art is fantastic.
I can’t wait to hear Reed’s point of view on all this crazy stuff happening
@Tssha Well I’m sorry my intestines are so “gross.” I wasn’t expecting to use my them as decoration. -_- *starts duct taping himself back together*
Ahem. As many others have stated, I’m really digging the second panel. There’s just something about how that panel is expressive yet minimal at the same time. Then again, I’m a sucker for this style of black and white art (or in this case black and gray.) Now if y’all will excuse me, I need to go find my pancreas.
@Cube I like how Steffi goes from standing, to leaning, to (presumably) sliding down the wall into a sitting position. Subtle, but cute and very Steffi-ish.
I’m first! Thanks different time zone! Now to read…
my mind is now ablaze with theories and guesses with all this new information! also, typo in the last panel. I think you meant “ever” not “every”.
Poor Steffi….
Well good night guys. [It's 5:30 AM in my time zone, stayed up just for this.]
Kiwi Blitz always comes before Homestuck, to me anyways…
*looks at comment* Haha Cube very funny.
Those spies and rivals are scary looking…
OH NO AAAAAAAAAA
typo fixed
Are you a spy?!
STORYTIME WOOOOOOOOOOOO
I love storytime.
It’s so cheerful and happy and Steffi why are you talking about sad things this isn’t a good story I don’t like this story.

I totally thought that said “Where is Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan?”

Uwaah, I want to know more about these shadowy people!
*Continues to sit patiently, listening to storytiems.*
Wow thats sad poor weapons supplier grandparents
I’m just sad that we don’t get a picture of Steffi’s grandparents. I want to know what they looked like!
An excerpt from the Last Will and Testament:
To my son, Heinrich, I leave my treasured German flag boxers. Wear them in health my darling little boy.

Oh yes, you have to run Mecha Machen too.
yaaaaaaaaaaaaay! more backstory! woooooo! oh and yes…wheres kaaaaaaaaaaarl?!
no fair, cube, you get to troll on your own comic page
Cube…I fear the road you have begun walking – this trancendant trolling can lead to no good end!
But the comic is awesome – keep going with that part…
Hah, sardonic, I knew it!
*tears Hfar apart playfully with his long, predator like teeth*
…
Eww…now Hfar’s a mess and it’s grooossssss…
Karl? KARL? *dies
At least Arma is nowhere to be seen…for now anyways
Backstory plot time, yes!
Are we talking UP’s Karl? ‘Cause I miss him.
The only other webcomicer I know who trolls their readers is some guy named Hussie. I can’t quite seem to remember how popular he was, though…
Where is the Whitney Houston memorial?

More like where are Flores and Barnes! (Unless they were the two cops on Track 10-02.)
Why do I get the feeling that Grandpa wasn’t as cuddly as Heinrich? And did they really have to kill Grandma too? Those bastards!!!
Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarl!!!!!

Story’s getting even better here.
Karl died in WWIII. Obviously.

Panel 2 is pretty much astonishing. I wanna meet that guy with the smile. SCARY smile!
@Tssha Well I’m sorry my intestines are so “gross.” I wasn’t expecting to use my them as decoration. -_- *starts duct taping himself back together*

Sad Mr. Frolich is sad…
@Edd – They never saw it coming. Also, “Oh right, they have those here…”
@Cube I like how Steffi goes from standing, to leaning, to (presumably) sliding down the wall into a sitting position. Subtle, but cute and very Steffi-ish.
