I hope you didn’t forget about her!
…’Cause she didn’t forget about youuuu!
Cue Torgo theme!
I’m always trying to ride a fine line with Heinrich on how odd his sentences should sound. They’re supposed to just be a little off, like someone who’s been speaking the language for a long time and learned all the words, but doesn’t always put them together in the most common way.
Oh, and this guy did a small interview with me about the comic if you’d like to check it out.
EDIT Agh, fixed the typo on dying. For some reason that spelling will always look very wrong to me.

Is “dieing” an obscure German joke, or should it be dying?
/slinks back to friendless, grammar-nazi cave.
HA HA HA. Angry Ben is so frightful, actually. XD
(Heheh. Steffi’s dad is so cute. “With the anticipation”…oh gurrd, I can’t decide who’s my favorite!)
AND YEAH YEAH, 42! …damnit I can’t wait now.
Le sigh. Why can’t acceptable fashion be something like this? Real life clothing is so boring.
OK, this has been bugging me for some time, and it came up multiple times in the interview.
It is a “kiwi”. Not “kiwi bird”. The kiwi which is not a bird is not the true kiwi.
There is an item called a kiwifruit, the namer of which (c 1970) shall burn in eternal torment for having inflicted this confusion upon the world.
‘Kiwi’ can also refer colloquially to a New Zealander. It is the speaker’s responsibility not to use it in circumstances where it is ambiguous whether a mammal or avian is being referred to.
On a lighter note, as I’ve only just found KB and couldn’t comment earlier: Yay, Racoon! We want more Racoon!
I’m.. well aware of this, but not everyone even KNOWS what a kiwi is, and I don’t want people to think that she pilots a mech themed after a fruit.
There’s always going to be words whose general use is different from the original literal term.
Not letting people call kiwis kiwi birds is like getting pissed when people use “anime” as a term for Japanese animation. Language gets localized, it’s unavoidable.
(I don’t want for that to sound mean, I understand the frustration.)
Moving on from the nazism, I really like the two last panels with the robots eyes. You really did capture the “life” turning on with the 2 simple changes you made to the eye. Hell, I think it might have been more profound without the “ping” because it looks so clear to me that the thing has activated., But, that comes down to the feel you were trying to get with it.
I was thinking about it this morning and this is the first time I’ve ever really followed the work of someone who is not my elder (I’m 24). Admiring and following closely (my first click on Tuedays and Thursdays when I get to work) the work of somebody who is my peer agewise feels kinda odd.
@Cube: Sigh. Never interupt a good rant with logic. It takes away the fun.
MUAHAHAHAHA IT’S ALIIIIIIIIIVE!!!
Can’t wait to see how Miss Robot (err, 42?) acts.
Ooo. I didn’t know 42′s eye had sonar. Nifty.
Ahem, nice panel emphasis in the third panel. Although Ben’s motions are a bit . . . eccentric?
Why do so many people think 42′s in the uncanny valley? I think she’s cute. Or maybe I’m just weird.
