That’s actually an excellent point. I hadn’t even considered radial charging. Based on the level of technology available in the functional present of Steffi’s world, she could be in a position where she never needs to charge her leg. The plan for radial charging is, after all, to make it as widely available as cell phone coverage, as the field is non ionizing and thus not a cancer risk.

The leg could potentially charge remotely when within a certain radius of Her bed/ a charging device plugged into the nearest outlet. I’ve known people who charge bionics without needing to jam an AC adaptor where the sun don’t shine… Also liking Steffi’s “Knows the responsibilities of super hero-ness now”, Outfit.

Looks like Reed is now officially Commissioner Gordon to Steffi’s Batman. Only a good deal messier. (Yes, there’s a one-liner-in-waiting about the kind of deep bond you’d give an arm and a leg for…)

Having only recently fallen down the rabbit-hole of this story (you can thank Lucy Lyall for that), I love how this tale has taken on depth and detail while still keeping that freewheeling wit I picked up at the start. Color me addicted.
