Remember that 35 could only attack 42 because they’re both robots.
35 was originally a Bodyguard. I doubt a scientist would program his bodyguard in such a way that for at least protecting its charge(s) it can’t fight regular people.

Personally, I’mk hoping any “loophole” is simply “following a direct order”.
But what I’m MORE concerned about is that Steffi is letting 42′s rpesence known!! What kind of secret illegal gynoid don’t you get?!
As opposed to the illegally modified metahumans they are fighting? While I appreciate the concern, I doubt they have the leverage to call the cops.
That said, it can of course be used to try to narrow down how to find Steffi and Benzene IF they make their escape.

4. Something I’ve long observed that should be in itself listed on TV Tropes:
In a mixed cast of living people and robots, the mechanical characters far more likely and often suffer grievous and shocking damage and destruction, including dismemberment, decapitation, disembowelment, etc. than their organic counterparts do. From the perspective of the producers, this is mostly to show the gravity of the story without depicting it on flesh-and-blood (and often human) characters. I say this because I happen to like 42 and don’t want to see it happen to her (as it happened in her electronic illusion while fighting 35). Of course, I don’t want Steffi and Ben to get hurt either; it’s just that a very dangerously efficient cutting weapon is now involved.
