I know Steffi’s train of thought. “You attack first” really means “Ok, I’mma hit you with the same damn thing this time”. Thought it all the time when I was taking martial arts so long ago. It never worked. :p
she can have all the force she can muster behind that metallic leg of hers but with a wind up like that it’s child’s play to block or avoid it. Even without pads on if he had stepped to the right while catching the leg he would have taken next to no damage. another way to have put her on the ground would simply have been stepping forward and laying her flat with a punch from his left arm to the chest guard. If she wants to pull off that kick better… or at all, she needs to tense less and work on speed more.
ack! how did i not remember that… well to be fair the result would have been the same regardless and my point still stands firm regardless of which leg she used, even if i do feek slightly embarassed by my mistake
My first comment, nice “movement” effect maybe because I practiced a bit or martials back in the school but can follow quite easy the movement there. If only thing the 6th pannel could be mirrored to represent the outer foot that’s more visible.
I would have thought that, even without having attended in a while, she would have attended enough training sessions to know that, when sparring, the phrase “you attack first” almost inevitably ends up with you on the floor instead of the person letting you attack.
Actually, she still would have been messed over by GEAR, after all, her friend the cop was messed over and all cops are trained in grappling these days. So, keeping that in mind she may well have been messed up, maybe not as bad though…
y ‘rnt 35 and the guy who made the andrioids on the cast page?? are they too minor or is not enough known about them to put them up yet
???
or did u just forget?
She doesn’t really understand that most of martial arts comes down to balance… which is largely about gravity… which is why high kicks are generally stupid unless you have an overwhelming advantage (or can fly). Human standing is already rather unstable due to only having two feet, so taking one of those off the ground tends to be something of a last resort most of the time.
Ought to have closed the distance rapidly, maintaining stable footing, and got to a position where she could wail on his face and neck.
Steffi got served!
Crow: The *Other* Other White Meat…
Benzene sure likes his grapples. Also, that is the best sound for crunching leaves, ever. Of all time.
Grapples are really bloody useful for warding off attackers. Doubly so with armed ones.
Technically, she’s legged…
Pretty much all real unarmed fights devolve into wrestling if someone doesn’t get thrashed quickly.
Blame gravity.

There’s pretty much nothing to comment on. But I know it’s leading up to something good, eventually.
This calls for serious measures, Steffi! ACTIVATE THE MONTAGE PROCEDURE!!1
Steffi… that was the most obvious attack ever.

Uh, actually… that leg was not Leggerkins. Click back a few pages, you’ll see that it is her left leg that is robotic.
I figured she wouldn’t kick Ben with it intentionally and took a look to make sure. Looks like I was right

ok its official benzene might be a bit of a badass(cookies to those that get the reference.)
I knew that would not work. Ben is a bit of a badass.

See Steffi! Flashy attacks are way to obvious.
Welp, cue up training montage! Woo!
Ben – I want you to hit me as hard as you can.
lol GO BEN!!!!! Steffi, your gonna need a strategy XD
Steffi is in for a rough time before she accepts she can’t actually fight.

Especially when that person is Benzene.
Panel 2 Steffi- “Sweet, I’m going to get to knock him on his butt!”
Panel 6- “Well…. damn….”
Ok, Pretty sure the Steffers is a southpaw now. Totally explains why she’s not accurate with ranged weaponry but is extremely good with piloting.
