Besides not liking to have people looking at me, especially from photographs or other 2D media, when there’s dialogue involved it gets pretty awkward in my atypical thought processes. “N-no it doesn’t….I know my face is awful and all, and that’s why I’m always hiding it, but…but you don’t have to be so mean, Steffi…..” was my exact thoughts with a sickening feeling in my stomach, despite telling myself that’s not what was going on.

The first part I sorta get.
Dun like human faces. Blot out the eyes and mouth in photos with black marker… especially if they’re smiling. Hate it when humans smile, all contorting their face-meat into a mocking rictus of derisive mirth. All staring at me for not participating in their perpetual idiot-dance.
Wouldn’t be so bad if they’d stop emoting… permanently.
Ben has been seen with several dogs before. But a cat would be irony.

In all seriousness, dressing up as a furry would not be the smartest idea. Chandra can pull off the look in Raccooon gear, looking adorable, but Steffi and Ben should be able to walk in as normal without trying (and failing) to blend in.
….though a Kiwi-themed outfit would be kind of awesome for Steffi, in a silly, over-the-top way.
Besides, how could you even fashion outfits resembling arthopods or the like? I prefer the “mecha musume” style of cosplay if anything at all: Simple stuff resembling the animal but not dressing up in a weird full-body costume of one.
